Johanna von Salmuth
producer, director & choreographer

Hey There...
This is Johanna von Salmuth, but you can call her "Jojo".
Jojo is a German producer, director & choreographer. She grew up in Stuttgart in the south of Germany, where she attended The Professional Dance Academy and continued her studies in Vancouver, Canada and moved to the UK in 2019 to do her BA in Filmmaking at MetFilm School, where she graduated with a First Class Honours Degree.
She started her career in Berlin, Germany as a second assistant director on the feature THE AUDITION, directed by Ina Weiss. Since then, she has worked on several features as an Assistant Director and produced short films such as the award-winning TO MY DYING MOTHER, and THE GIG.
Jojo recently produced the Nuesch sisters’ award-winning short film for Jeva Films, MARRIAGE UNPLUGGED, starring Nikki Amuka-Bird, Nicholas Gleaves and Sven Ironside. The film won the Jury Award at the Leeds International Film Festival in the Fanomenon category in 2024.
Jojo envisions an entertainment industry that is sustainable and eco-friendly, filled with joyful, creative individuals all working towards a common goal. Combining her love for dance and film with music and other art is one of her biggest passions. She aims to find other like-minded people to collaborate and create with.
For her, being able to disappear into another world through theatre, film and dance performances is an amazing gift - it is the reason she wants to be a part of creating these magical experiences for future generations to enjoy.
